Marriott Yogyakarta
Known for its numerous cultural activities and artisans, Yogyakarta is one of the most prominent cities in Java. Located twenty minutes away from Adisutjipto International Airport, the new Marriott Hotel Yogyakarta is the gateway to the historic city’s destinations. The opening of this hotel marked the first full-service, five star Marriott Hotels into the Indonesian market. Being in close proximity from the Malioboro city centre, the 18th-century Keraton Royal Palace, and the 9th-century Borobudur Temple, the hotel boasts a prime location for visitors who want to experience Yogyakarta’s heritage and culture. Marriott Hotel Yogyakarta embodies the contemporary DNA of Marriott Hotels as well as the local identity of Yogyakarta. It is targeted for the new generation of travellers – young professionals and families who seek to experience a resort-feel in the city. Taking inspirations from the historic architecture site of Taman Sari Water Castle – a royal garden and resting place for the sultanates of Yogyakarta – our design for Marriott Yogyakarta aims to create a resting and relaxing place for the users. One of the most iconic architectural elements of Taman Sari is the staircases, which we translate into design elements through repetitions and layers. The elements can be seen on the column details and accent panels throughout the public areas on the ground floor. We also utilize some weaving elements in the hotel public areas. In conjunction with Marriott’s modern design direction, we accentuate the importance of water element from Taman Sari Water Castle that gives a calming and serene effect to the surrounding.

Kayu Kayu
Located in Alam Sutera, a suburban area outside of Jakarta, Indonesia, Kayu Kayu is a family-friendly restaurant with an aim to bring people closer to nature. This is evident from the lush indoor plants and relaxing sound of trickling water that fills the atmosphere. Through this project, the client wants to elevate the dining experience of Indonesian cuisine by serving hearty, down-to-earth dishes in a relaxed and pleasurable setting. We design the restaurant with the spirit of family celebration in mind – vibrant, warm, and inviting, much like Indonesian cuisine that is colorful and intense in flavor. The name “Kayu Kayu” literally translates to “Wood-Wood”, so it comes as no surprise that wood would be the main material that we elevate into various forms of interior elements.

Rooms Inc
Day and night are two different variables of space that have a close connection to young business man’s daily life. We try to combine the continuum of those two different time and space in the form of interior elements and layout of this business hotel. We make two spacetime zone in this hotel. The Daytime zone “The Chaos Of Working” with its metal character applied in those transition area; receptionist, grab&go, and meeting room. Meanwhile The Night time zone (The Warmth Of Resting) with its wood character applied in the restaurant and guestroom area. In the restaurant, we also reflect the warmth character through the home-feeling space zoning; we create the playroom, the library, the dining room, and the balcony zone. From these design approach, we want to state that a business hotel is not only a temporary house to sleep, but a home to return to.

Go-Jek Headquarter
Go-Jek Headquarter is located in Pasaraya Blok M Mall. This office could accommodate up to ± 840 employees. The design concept for Go-Jek office is to reflect Go-Jek as the pioneer of online transportation in Indonesia. They are a big, young, and dynamic corporate. So we create a big open space as their working spaces with small discussion areas that are connected with pathways that look like road on the streets. To show Go-Jek as an Indonesian company, we use bricks and woods as the main materials. These materials are complemented with green as the company signature colour combined with other bright colours to show its youthfulness.
